You can see all the border prints I have by clicking the following link: <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/search?q=border+print" target="_blank">Border Prints</a>. The two we used for our samples are: <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/groovy-garden-border-print" target="_blank">Groovy Garden Border Print</a> and <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/winter-blooms-border-print" target="_blank">Winter Blooms Border Print</a>.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Depending on the layout you choose AND how big you want to make it, you need between 1 and 1 1/2 yards of a border print. On my website I sell regular priced regular width fabrics in half yard increments, so that would mean you need a quantity of 2 or 3 per runner. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">FYI: For both of our samples we used 1 yard of the border print.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSj_ql5YvNkZH5F2mSoewdsCqDUkkdNKUlQ5jKqALqNGmXko1PsRw8t_NOiZO5HgSOsxrycxY2qlf9jvJThAenDywOLFg0IK5XYRXD08opxGy0SPyDI7CVHo5snns98yjlFTiYLyK0PSgJ6TlnU0RRwsAFWQW9T896uk9wXxIQGMBAW8EloYmvnvZlYopu/s96/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSj_ql5YvNkZH5F2mSoewdsCqDUkkdNKUlQ5jKqALqNGmXko1PsRw8t_NOiZO5HgSOsxrycxY2qlf9jvJThAenDywOLFg0IK5XYRXD08opxGy0SPyDI7CVHo5snns98yjlFTiYLyK0PSgJ6TlnU0RRwsAFWQW9T896uk9wXxIQGMBAW8EloYmvnvZlYopu/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><p></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-26838409129170137542024-03-04T06:30:00.001-07:002024-03-04T06:30:00.254-07:00Chatsworth Block of the Month<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqqvaYExOnStdA_u0gWKOe9lTW0SD3OvpU_8s8MQSYnPXEvO39kZTrk1I_WV1mlf3ugrqAfHQxOxe3SuW8cQ3xb7TWwrUTIJzlwAW5i7opb5fNI3SwNkUhtQZQ4Py3LgKNgTH9O7UaJU5FrbZo1bZ8Ver6fNRFFNue7CzESCA5BFj59R3EsFgfD-pnqa7z/s1080/chatsworth_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Bright modern version of Chatsworth BOM" border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqqvaYExOnStdA_u0gWKOe9lTW0SD3OvpU_8s8MQSYnPXEvO39kZTrk1I_WV1mlf3ugrqAfHQxOxe3SuW8cQ3xb7TWwrUTIJzlwAW5i7opb5fNI3SwNkUhtQZQ4Py3LgKNgTH9O7UaJU5FrbZo1bZ8Ver6fNRFFNue7CzESCA5BFj59R3EsFgfD-pnqa7z/w640-h640/chatsworth_2.jpg" title="Bright modern version of Chatsworth BOM" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;">Are you looking for a fun block of the month? font-size: large;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;">Well, we have several other patterns that also require 5 half yard cuts of fabrics. The pattern used here is called Baby Links and I used the <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/maple-woods-half-pack" target="_blank">Maple Woods Half Pack Kit</a> for the sample, but ANY Half Pack Kit would make this quilt.</span></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCIwCwlX9tpzAhZxrSknUfr8dcMTwGVpG3_RXfV1KDyx6VD7Cd60CVVQ0gxFvdh1XIvYBlJ6mUvdlJPPbK62CcoJsVp5wX7NiHIsqalPL8TLYd-w9C3ye2Zo2LX_EhOG-j8-0Ciclz6DSMEvlfUCAMtPrjRL7GdwPRzG3sfBCXz2vF0_W6ysolAr8qqY0c/s3024/IMG_7054.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Baby Links quilt made using a Maple Woods Half Pack" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCIwCwlX9tpzAhZxrSknUfr8dcMTwGVpG3_RXfV1KDyx6VD7Cd60CVVQ0gxFvdh1XIvYBlJ6mUvdlJPPbK62CcoJsVp5wX7NiHIsqalPL8TLYd-w9C3ye2Zo2LX_EhOG-j8-0Ciclz6DSMEvlfUCAMtPrjRL7GdwPRzG3sfBCXz2vF0_W6ysolAr8qqY0c/w640-h640/IMG_7054.jpg" title="Baby Links quilt made using a Maple Woods Half Pack" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">Note: Every Half Pack Kit comes with a Half Pack Pattern, so if you decide to order one please let me know which Half Pack pattern you would like included with your kit. The Baby Links pattern is a separate purchase, but binding would be included in the Half Pack Kit because Baby Links only requires 4 half yards for the quilt top, the fifth half yard is your binding fabric. This pattern makes a smaller quilt than any of the Half Pack Patterns. The finished size of <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/baby-links" target="_blank">Baby Links</a> is 39" by 43".</span></span><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">To view all of the Half Pack Kits and Patterns click the following links: <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/collections/half-pack-quilt-kits" target="_blank">Half Pack Kits</a>, <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/pages/half-pack-quilt-gallery" target="_blank">Half Pack Pattern Gallery</a></span></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/baby-links" target="_blank">To view the Baby Links Pattern, click here</a>.</span></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; color: #202020; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ4U95iGZvUM9ahHpKjSELGFdGaVcjCcPLtdvrcDvqSw9RuLBXk2z3Yf68k8ynMlQ9ctipDaVsiqj72S1o2_yMwRFCtqU_Mb6ttoJDYKG_GDg4VevnEUviOSZunIS9dz_tfgv6zyTah7F6qi5PLzo4teZKrRNKfnwCB20WqSTTkwOvn28_l2c7WjWxUVZw/s96/signature.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ4U95iGZvUM9ahHpKjSELGFdGaVcjCcPLtdvrcDvqSw9RuLBXk2z3Yf68k8ynMlQ9ctipDaVsiqj72S1o2_yMwRFCtqU_Mb6ttoJDYKG_GDg4VevnEUviOSZunIS9dz_tfgv6zyTah7F6qi5PLzo4teZKrRNKfnwCB20WqSTTkwOvn28_l2c7WjWxUVZw/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span></div>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-74061098802567947112024-02-19T06:30:00.001-07:002024-02-19T06:30:00.134-07:00Time for another Online BlowOut Event!<p><span style="font-size: large;"> My shop is participating again in the FabShop Online BlowOut event. Have you ever heard of sewing to receipt tape or phone book pages as a foundation for sewing with scraps? Well, Scrap Tape does the same thing BUT, you don't have to take it off before using your scrap piece in your project. This is the part that really appeals to me! I hate ripping paper off the back of pieced fabric units/blocks! It's so time-consuming and messy!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Scrap Tape is currently available in three sizes:</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/scrap-tape-5-by-25-yd" target="_blank">5" by 25 yards Scrap Tape</a></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRMInkNefSpULzS3Pkb2Sw2zCxNiYzqx1EkZwGCSAdK7s3KnCqVb4d9eKPoyMSlQtorunhzL6SvlG_gCfJY7vF5ckVuAdyAppT1ES5OAFVj4i6LgqWQOsV1BXRDy9tB9U37na_gc416aVJ_3hW_F0fm2hy0r9wZKnnarpVLE92smAleaFzvHuzEia1k6Ga/s450/Scrap%20Tape%205%22.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="450" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRMInkNefSpULzS3Pkb2Sw2zCxNiYzqx1EkZwGCSAdK7s3KnCqVb4d9eKPoyMSlQtorunhzL6SvlG_gCfJY7vF5ckVuAdyAppT1ES5OAFVj4i6LgqWQOsV1BXRDy9tB9U37na_gc416aVJ_3hW_F0fm2hy0r9wZKnnarpVLE92smAleaFzvHuzEia1k6Ga/s320/Scrap%20Tape%205%22.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/scrap-tape-2-5-by-25-yd" target="_blank">2.5" by 25 yards Scrap Tape</a></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2_EatpJl10hNqmcUnRF9b0FYkj3p1AQBbISrt4ZVCCXtbzWxbx9mTEdaCxMvac-TxqVRxmy3T4B-o4_gYUHV-4onyXLnsDGh-kA2VG02LkpZ56Yhges_WmRg45_diFctUp83qK67fOnd4UaYQ3xqw8Q096lc6SAADgyJ6VrrpazPz2lVDPvrSP-sEJ4Ak/s450/Scrap%20Tape%202.5%22.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="340" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2_EatpJl10hNqmcUnRF9b0FYkj3p1AQBbISrt4ZVCCXtbzWxbx9mTEdaCxMvac-TxqVRxmy3T4B-o4_gYUHV-4onyXLnsDGh-kA2VG02LkpZ56Yhges_WmRg45_diFctUp83qK67fOnd4UaYQ3xqw8Q096lc6SAADgyJ6VrrpazPz2lVDPvrSP-sEJ4Ak/s320/Scrap%20Tape%202.5%22.jpeg" width="242" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/scrap-tape-13-by-10-yd" target="_blank">13" by 10 yards Scrap Tape</a></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLm2VNog90rwt0ODUYnEDB49vQYVaKgeaIrGbCqbrwH93-1GVRNCe6frObKel2S2Mve3buwP5RYuwbnhnP2jEYkq2Smc9Qr0VrnBQSJLzKTVppqY-6ABJP_c0UdkleYM1x4IpFWVfkBvSyGoXPLCY16HmtHsDO00u6mUT-FLWemaMSTkuU438hUG2U2yxh/s450/Scrap%20Tape%2013%22.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="450" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLm2VNog90rwt0ODUYnEDB49vQYVaKgeaIrGbCqbrwH93-1GVRNCe6frObKel2S2Mve3buwP5RYuwbnhnP2jEYkq2Smc9Qr0VrnBQSJLzKTVppqY-6ABJP_c0UdkleYM1x4IpFWVfkBvSyGoXPLCY16HmtHsDO00u6mUT-FLWemaMSTkuU438hUG2U2yxh/s320/Scrap%20Tape%2013%22.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">I purchased a roll of the <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/scrap-tape-5-by-25-yd" target="_blank">5" wide Scrap Tape</a> and used it to make this adorable 40" by 50" charity quilt.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja7Mn6tQC0kyzAkEz79EbJ7c5BghB5qfFYQ0rBV_Z1USaPY0-p1gR6N3LFfTiXnBr2GYd8icfZNTGHboK5dnW_v8RCprHe7MiV7IfpHHUMmvySzZSk4dJq7tLd1PUD11FsIGdRIY4iOQn45n6QaEhWusrlO_xG6H3b234FjKaFijDG9ytzfPzMPcwt_Pv0/s3024/IMG_7127%20(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Scrap Tape Charity Quilt" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja7Mn6tQC0kyzAkEz79EbJ7c5BghB5qfFYQ0rBV_Z1USaPY0-p1gR6N3LFfTiXnBr2GYd8icfZNTGHboK5dnW_v8RCprHe7MiV7IfpHHUMmvySzZSk4dJq7tLd1PUD11FsIGdRIY4iOQn45n6QaEhWusrlO_xG6H3b234FjKaFijDG9ytzfPzMPcwt_Pv0/w640-h640/IMG_7127%20(1).jpg" title="Scrap Tape Charity Quilt" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><span style="font-size: large;">I wanted to try out the scrap tape but didn't want to spend a lot of time on this trial project so I used larger scraps for this. It's a fairly new program and I just signed my shop up to participate. I've been busying making up the samples for the last several weeks.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">The way it works is there are 9 half pack patterns to choose from and LOTS of half pack quilts kits. You pick the half pack quilt kit you like and then choose the pattern you want. The patterns are not available for purchase separately, only with the purchase of a half pack kit. (Our kits will be $39.99). We are still busy cutting the kits as shops cut these kits themselves using fabrics from their shop. As soon as we have enough kits cut I'll start adding them to my online shop but for now you can just look at the pretty quilts.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">So what's a Half Pack Quilt Kit? It's five half yard cuts of fabrics. Yep, both of the quilts I'm sharing with you today requiring only 2.5 yards of fabric total for the quilt top. Binding and backing are not included but all of them require 1/2 yard for binding and they all require between 3 and 3 1/4 yards of backing fabric.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'm going to share these a few at a time with you. The first is the Tumble Block Pattern using our Horizon Half Pack Quilt Kit.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOfb_v68XT3WqeNw88tQdDABtNWM3We5ZvZh-hr3Z1yMgMtJZI8UaPFq3Zmnc2vwCkEevbBG_I1Y_rTUqHh4FGvHkoww6pRwoMBNglMOFdUXQpBlEycygEmLFe9dDqXjx4N6ZmZmLlE7c2yK6EQlccYWs5oGP20y7ca6NqHWdPS-M9Pctv7v2IZF2ShNms/s2845/Tumble%20Block%20Horizon%20HP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Tumble Block pattern, Horizon Half Pack Kit" border="0" data-original-height="2845" data-original-width="2329" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOfb_v68XT3WqeNw88tQdDABtNWM3We5ZvZh-hr3Z1yMgMtJZI8UaPFq3Zmnc2vwCkEevbBG_I1Y_rTUqHh4FGvHkoww6pRwoMBNglMOFdUXQpBlEycygEmLFe9dDqXjx4N6ZmZmLlE7c2yK6EQlccYWs5oGP20y7ca6NqHWdPS-M9Pctv7v2IZF2ShNms/w524-h640/Tumble%20Block%20Horizon%20HP.jpg" title="Tumble Block pattern, Horizon Half Pack Kit" width="524" /></a></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;">Then we have the Window Pane Pattern using our Americana Half Pack Quilt Kit.</span></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQAi5rdZUoyqtcsHDGq1vXaOZIeL0jDQM6SWDEmCAhq_uOfHrCXzI6I7atqHO0jGymlPvTjIjVU2w-D8KPa9SbUtFZjHsv2UcHeU6jCsQlI7yV1h9TABqeuSmEGiw5AKqLcYK0sRgH26LTY0h5qfzlYjEGijqSyYE95xVjj10PDiVcyzobUFSW2cAOFdHS/s2883/Window%20Panel%20Americana%20HP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Window Pane pattern, Americana Half Pack Kit" border="0" data-original-height="2883" data-original-width="2420" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQAi5rdZUoyqtcsHDGq1vXaOZIeL0jDQM6SWDEmCAhq_uOfHrCXzI6I7atqHO0jGymlPvTjIjVU2w-D8KPa9SbUtFZjHsv2UcHeU6jCsQlI7yV1h9TABqeuSmEGiw5AKqLcYK0sRgH26LTY0h5qfzlYjEGijqSyYE95xVjj10PDiVcyzobUFSW2cAOFdHS/w538-h640/Window%20Panel%20Americana%20HP.jpg" title="Window Pane pattern, Americana Half Pack Kit" width="538" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">All of these quilts are lap size in the 50" by 60" finished size range. None of the patterns are what I'd call hard. Most of them took me about two to three hours to make, that included my time cutting out the quilt and then sewing and pressing. A true beginner will need a little help but a confident beginner (someone who has made one or two quilts already) can do it on their own. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">If you are one of those people who gets frustrated when you buy a quilt kit with a lot of leftover fabric, you are gonna love these kits. Just about every bit of fabric from the kit is required for the quilt top. None of them generated very many scraps. The downside is that there really is no oops fabric built into these kits. The upside is that the cutting is very easy and the patterns give detailed cutting diagrams so that you can see how to cut each half yard piece.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'll share a couple more of these quilts next with you next week.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgGa7dtm8X5i30u7MB3-6JUFe82auzl5tMz20ZtETpOonnKWg89zr8J_ngs-VHZ_XLlZZrJucieXs0dUGBle2Gow7TwhuHBq44Ld1Dwh4AUBmC9mEOLIxnVkRyn0uZeKVoZwot_2ulROfnaW-n7o35wXL8fFA4tWZtzvK59JB9D-vJtYgfTrd1jQ8dKlgv/s96/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgGa7dtm8X5i30u7MB3-6JUFe82auzl5tMz20ZtETpOonnKWg89zr8J_ngs-VHZ_XLlZZrJucieXs0dUGBle2Gow7TwhuHBq44Ld1Dwh4AUBmC9mEOLIxnVkRyn0uZeKVoZwot_2ulROfnaW-n7o35wXL8fFA4tWZtzvK59JB9D-vJtYgfTrd1jQ8dKlgv/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-43275246659557319922024-01-01T12:29:00.000-07:002024-01-01T12:29:24.179-07:00Happy New Year!<p><span style="font-size: large;"> I've had a nice week at home with my shop closed all last week. I got our laundry room repainted after we had the ceiling in that room repaired and retextured. I also got some touch-up painting done in our main bathroom after we had some work done to one spot on the wall and the entire ceiling.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Our new family member, Sheba, has been busy all week too.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSTwM2TUzuGuc3x-6GeeV8LiFynW7zgWYtRJRVkQAGGlsyWGEDB9tlBMcFpZKY33uH_O4byXdlPv_uMb0XsfPAOxDnyxqLC693R0seSwbom9Q9E1og1jjyNNhRprGogsL_ZyCjWU9eZRbnv9FK6sBwtlR5iB9TxxrXkrACYjvJ7naVVqXT3tKzxXaajBNt/s2498/IMG_1465a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Sheba in our Christmas tree" border="0" data-original-height="2453" data-original-width="2498" height="628" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSTwM2TUzuGuc3x-6GeeV8LiFynW7zgWYtRJRVkQAGGlsyWGEDB9tlBMcFpZKY33uH_O4byXdlPv_uMb0XsfPAOxDnyxqLC693R0seSwbom9Q9E1og1jjyNNhRprGogsL_ZyCjWU9eZRbnv9FK6sBwtlR5iB9TxxrXkrACYjvJ7naVVqXT3tKzxXaajBNt/w640-h628/IMG_1465a.jpeg" title="Sheba in our Christmas tree" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">We put up our Christmas tree without any ornaments. Then we were gifted a few ornaments. Since Sheba had been leaving the tree alone we put them on the tree. Look closely toward the top. I've circled her in the photo below. She was trying to "kill" the ornaments.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmi4Km0Mx_iQoZK-VZKqfetXqkDiieyhtwxuFrrLwcCoCpEYh111bu_MKdYd0wMyllos2OTCXY8T818SBrWlufCT5XNzVIsz0-FJkRZEbOfVHobvLGQS2SPMwTafuiMGcQlTOrZ-7UJdgBjYlJQLdABpG0Nr3YtxREdoULtRIcWWxQacN81NY7ZkSXMx9/s2498/IMG_1465b.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Sheba in the tree" border="0" data-original-height="2453" data-original-width="2498" height="628" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmi4Km0Mx_iQoZK-VZKqfetXqkDiieyhtwxuFrrLwcCoCpEYh111bu_MKdYd0wMyllos2OTCXY8T818SBrWlufCT5XNzVIsz0-FJkRZEbOfVHobvLGQS2SPMwTafuiMGcQlTOrZ-7UJdgBjYlJQLdABpG0Nr3YtxREdoULtRIcWWxQacN81NY7ZkSXMx9/w640-h628/IMG_1465b.jpeg" title="Sheba in the tree" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">So the ornaments came down and were stored safely away. We ended up taking the tree down on the 26th because we were tired of having to defend it from the kitten! This is a record for us as usually the tree stays up for a week or two after Christmas. Next year!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">She really is a sweetie though, just very busy! And our older cat, Ms. Boo, is starting to accept the new kitten. She still isn't a fan, but will stand her ground now and will begrudgingly be in the same room with the kitten. There is still some hissing and growling, but it's getting less. I think she growls and hisses more out of principle rather than irritation. Ms. Boo is not a fan of change, especially when it wasn't her idea to change!</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRNZf3vUdaf7U1hSAyvuNTXrsdu1iNwXXPMLpCDpp8ZqpvoDGaDlRr-3sX0at5xt2V5eBL-OlJIHYY3m96AAEMpEOKwV6PYicCTY_2qdoo8gdL5BFUEctbjnRVZwRGFeKIZ4h2nZgRbDjptB6w_0hjWZL7GnYes0GOMD3RRFG2-6tIRBYg1MPler0lRUlG/s2824/IMG_6949%20(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Sheba melting in Tony's arms" border="0" data-original-height="2312" data-original-width="2824" height="524" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRNZf3vUdaf7U1hSAyvuNTXrsdu1iNwXXPMLpCDpp8ZqpvoDGaDlRr-3sX0at5xt2V5eBL-OlJIHYY3m96AAEMpEOKwV6PYicCTY_2qdoo8gdL5BFUEctbjnRVZwRGFeKIZ4h2nZgRbDjptB6w_0hjWZL7GnYes0GOMD3RRFG2-6tIRBYg1MPler0lRUlG/w640-h524/IMG_6949%20(1).jpg" title="Sheba melting in Tony's arms" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'm almost ready to share all of the sewing I've been doing the last few weeks. I reluctantly went to the door and it was some friends who live a few blocks away on their way to work. They had an adorable little black kitten with them.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid1epcGV5oflFanfE9a4KNVsmg22m4SEzTkxIje7VHbbyZrutWUxfpqB7RPlwMubBzPwZsG8y-OXflX9yseduvqJDdzPH7y3783lI98_tYh_G13XUIK4lao5CxV1nuVh2DgDLTvrT47MWlwW5Kwu4B87r7HI9-DhqAYJPk2Llqn60JMuNjhU41GqAXpN9e/s2320/IMG_6679%20(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="black kitten 1" border="0" data-original-height="2320" data-original-width="2320" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid1epcGV5oflFanfE9a4KNVsmg22m4SEzTkxIje7VHbbyZrutWUxfpqB7RPlwMubBzPwZsG8y-OXflX9yseduvqJDdzPH7y3783lI98_tYh_G13XUIK4lao5CxV1nuVh2DgDLTvrT47MWlwW5Kwu4B87r7HI9-DhqAYJPk2Llqn60JMuNjhU41GqAXpN9e/w640-h640/IMG_6679%20(1).jpg" title="black kitten 1" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">They found the kitten running in the middle of the road through traffic and rescued him/her. They put the kitten down on the sidewalk and it started following them. They were walking to work and couldn't take a kitten with them. Since we live on the way they stopped and asked if we could take it for the day.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Well, it didn't take long for us to all fall in love. The kitten was very hungry so we got him/her some food and water. Then we made up a little make-shift litter box, which it used almost immediately without me even showing it to him/her. I've posted a photo of him/her in a local Lost/Found Pet Facebook page, but so far no one has claimed him/her. So, we may have gotten a kitten yesterday!</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5vm62l_YfZyRhDbhmJvdXvL9r33gaoGbyd8AgVFKq_68yIVeUzq6K2h-ZIu8DUfpuCXFBGl7oKK9BgxXP9qu-Klf9PB8JyKCCdjT9juBPZGsCC0Rfx4MWpl28TtRtl8AVSxuASN4xWrahPYsOBPInhuYyC_kjjQam_8zoU61i0vmVVGjNZRISNp1cxS5-/s2320/IMG_6676a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="black kitten 2" border="0" data-original-height="2320" data-original-width="2320" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5vm62l_YfZyRhDbhmJvdXvL9r33gaoGbyd8AgVFKq_68yIVeUzq6K2h-ZIu8DUfpuCXFBGl7oKK9BgxXP9qu-Klf9PB8JyKCCdjT9juBPZGsCC0Rfx4MWpl28TtRtl8AVSxuASN4xWrahPYsOBPInhuYyC_kjjQam_8zoU61i0vmVVGjNZRISNp1cxS5-/w640-h640/IMG_6676a.jpeg" title="black kitten 2" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">Honestly, the only family member who hasn't fallen in love already is our older cat, Ms. Spooky Boo. We haven't tried to introduce them yet because there is no point in putting Ms. Boo through that if someone comes forward to claim him/her. But Ms. Boo does know that there is a kitten living in the garage. She is not impressed but wasn't too put out about it. The rest of us are kind of hoping that no one does come forward to claim him/her. He/She is very cuddly and friendly with a very loud purr that starts up as soon as you pick him/her up.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">No name yet, but we've already started brainstorming possibilities.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizZPKg9p5v9QmNf7sWCDK4XYV_p9GGslgvGxhwO58nAFFhWfdBJJ9wCzhyjk5vZUDu7xHcIaaK8aweAOXjVs0FVVp9ekvVeZ7tuDilpzgxonpwiTbegSXp1zGd65MzoYY2-Lp9UCprSqEDhrQMW6Spuh6YGNEIWSmWgJQ1TuWCpR5ntNItKdTluswjfQTZ/s96/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizZPKg9p5v9QmNf7sWCDK4XYV_p9GGslgvGxhwO58nAFFhWfdBJJ9wCzhyjk5vZUDu7xHcIaaK8aweAOXjVs0FVVp9ekvVeZ7tuDilpzgxonpwiTbegSXp1zGd65MzoYY2-Lp9UCprSqEDhrQMW6Spuh6YGNEIWSmWgJQ1TuWCpR5ntNItKdTluswjfQTZ/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-46449013670857502272023-10-19T06:30:00.003-06:002023-10-19T06:30:00.139-06:00The Product I Didn't Know I Needed!<p><span style="font-size: large;"> These Needle Grip-Its are fabulous for hand sewing!</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQFX_Gq1kHlDcOVQ7Ngzgky6FtxpizpEYnqGFsyINVw6klREXnEFnwW2I4m34iVECfFWiqAoy7wbPzFt4EUWM3ycIz_pHm47FLzuva2XRADLSEv6VRc-uBiwVsIxO-ENcsboIGKXyWdvgRnSlgAHPCFVCGIlDnH-cj5z5ZgYJ7NMhyphenhyphenjUBm70a_PM4YhbBF/s3024/Needle%20grip%20its.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Needle Grip-It package" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQFX_Gq1kHlDcOVQ7Ngzgky6FtxpizpEYnqGFsyINVw6klREXnEFnwW2I4m34iVECfFWiqAoy7wbPzFt4EUWM3ycIz_pHm47FLzuva2XRADLSEv6VRc-uBiwVsIxO-ENcsboIGKXyWdvgRnSlgAHPCFVCGIlDnH-cj5z5ZgYJ7NMhyphenhyphenjUBm70a_PM4YhbBF/w640-h640/Needle%20grip%20its.jpg" title="Needle Grip-It package" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">You put one on your thumb and one on your forefinger, right where you pinch them together to pull the needle through. They help reduce hand fatigue by gripping the needle to help you pull it through your project so you don't have to pull as hard. They stick very well and can be used several times before they stop sticking. I'm not sure how long that is because I'm still using the first two!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">For proper placement, pinch your thumb and forefinger together pretty hard like you are pulling a needle through a project. You'll see an indention or lighter colored circular area on your thumb/finger. That's where you put the dots. They are repositionable so if you get it in the wrong place you can move it. The quilt has been sent off to be long arm quilted so it isn't currently hanging in the shop yet.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibcrBbuQ__gBWLVvAg0fvxdvOsE92n5Vjj9jfLfAyLKEEam0_qAq3Uq33DC4C3VhLZ2yAMi3WKQLIjB_rcy9ve62mbyJawHJuNxwm8tfiGr8PKTpK-aX3XzdQdt22KjblFf81OWQPmnZ6Vq2zVVhicLskdRpwDk-xFlJDJHBs4WmQUaGuFsQaGC64gfpD6/s2546/IMG_6481.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Majestic fabric panel shop sample using Diva 5 pattern" border="0" data-original-height="2546" data-original-width="2546" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibcrBbuQ__gBWLVvAg0fvxdvOsE92n5Vjj9jfLfAyLKEEam0_qAq3Uq33DC4C3VhLZ2yAMi3WKQLIjB_rcy9ve62mbyJawHJuNxwm8tfiGr8PKTpK-aX3XzdQdt22KjblFf81OWQPmnZ6Vq2zVVhicLskdRpwDk-xFlJDJHBs4WmQUaGuFsQaGC64gfpD6/w640-h640/IMG_6481.jpg" title="Majestic fabric panel shop sample using Diva 5 pattern" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">The pattern I used is called <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/diva-5" target="_blank">Diva 5</a>. It's a great pattern for a panel and includes instructions for the three current most popular panel widths of 24", 30" and 36". I had to adjust the pattern just a tad because this panel has a printed border around the outside that I wanted to cut off, but it's very easy to adjust. All I needed to do was add 1/2" to the cut measurements for the inner border that goes around the panel for the top and bottom border pieces. You can't even really tell that the top/bottom inner borders are a little wider than the sides!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">The panel and most of the coordinates except the light blue are all from the <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/collections/majestic" target="_blank">Majestic collection</a>. The light blue is from the <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/collections/dry-brush" target="_blank">Dry Brush collection</a> and it's the <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/dry-brush-pale-blue" target="_blank">Pale Blue</a> one. Again, the pattern used is called <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/products/diva-5" target="_blank">Diva 5</a>. If I still have enough of these fabrics left when the quilt comes back from the quilter then I will make up a few kits. The binding is going to be the dark blue fabric used in the quilt top. This is the challenge for quilt shop owners - as soon as I make up a sample whatever fabrics I used start selling quickly and sometimes I don't get the sample completely finished before I run out of the fabrics used! So if you want a kit sooner just let me know. And if I decide to make another pillow I will put some fabric on the back so the pillow form will slide more easily into the cover. I've been using it for a couple days and it looks better already!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">The back is a simple envelope back closure, also used scrap fabric for that. Thus, in a certain sense, this was a free project! The pillow form is actually an old pillow that I keep making new covers for. Not even sure how old it is, but it still works.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8nguNzRl7jTZPlVR0D5DeoffX152gahFKR5zhO_Lhs3jQE0v4mi36TQm2C32u6u8veslOVriQjsgmn1jrhCqRDNL6-P31jXMXBlLUsRGt0TKByRB0hghaUAbvZT_VPA4uG4peRfHKSvuDLdmaPoqO8pfGXG1Nkh38K1F1kvVWdjlTt7smbNl15KtaaWoi/s96/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8nguNzRl7jTZPlVR0D5DeoffX152gahFKR5zhO_Lhs3jQE0v4mi36TQm2C32u6u8veslOVriQjsgmn1jrhCqRDNL6-P31jXMXBlLUsRGt0TKByRB0hghaUAbvZT_VPA4uG4peRfHKSvuDLdmaPoqO8pfGXG1Nkh38K1F1kvVWdjlTt7smbNl15KtaaWoi/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-74427069671394894712023-09-22T09:47:00.000-06:002023-09-22T09:47:10.012-06:00Whimsy Shop Sample - Free Pattern<p><span style="font-size: large;"> I have a new fabric collection which means a new shop sample. The fabric collection is called <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/collections/whimsy" target="_blank">Whimsy</a>. It's a really nice "basics" collection. A basics collection is a collection of fabrics that are designed to be blenders or "go with" fabrics for the trendy, designer prints. These are the fabrics everyone needs to have in their stash to compliment the designer prints and allow them to shine, the supporting actors so to speak.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">But just because these fabrics are basics doesn't mean they don't look fabulous on their own in a project! Most of the prints in this collection read as a solid from a distance, but all of them have a pattern to them. This is the sample.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnXrCv8NQM7eaahaftDVTLpLon03ABRRi2y-UR6_13FBI19yv_8BI1rYCJKJtwfsw_TWYVoZN8SLJ5JWozlEgpCjSAdc09BdfHstYAIaC2x0tmdKhf0ACyuZKSXhcn6vaf_EETruX8M0qbnANPVm-6VaEpy5NSij-c8qPAT0NdWu3A8BrB7fyDU3xePQkJ/s2422/IMG_6389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="shop sample made using Whimsy fabric collection, a pinwheel style quilt" border="0" data-original-height="2422" data-original-width="2361" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnXrCv8NQM7eaahaftDVTLpLon03ABRRi2y-UR6_13FBI19yv_8BI1rYCJKJtwfsw_TWYVoZN8SLJ5JWozlEgpCjSAdc09BdfHstYAIaC2x0tmdKhf0ACyuZKSXhcn6vaf_EETruX8M0qbnANPVm-6VaEpy5NSij-c8qPAT0NdWu3A8BrB7fyDU3xePQkJ/w624-h640/IMG_6389.jpg" title="Whimsy fabrics shop sample" width="624" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">This quilt used pre-cuts (5" squares) and a little yardage for the background and the little squares in the sashing. I'm gonna use that same fabric for the binding once I get it quilted.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">The collection contains 50 different fabrics. The pre-cuts (5" squares, 10" squares and 2 1/2" strips) all contain 50 pieces with no repeats, which is why they are a little more expensive than other pre-cuts that only contain 40 or 42 pieces, most with duplicates.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I have started sharing a free pattern every week in my weekly shop newsletter. As so often happens, I found an unfinished project. I started it thinking I would kit it up for my shop, but decided to use a different pattern to feature the panel. So everything got tossed in a corner. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Last weekend I decided to at least get the top together.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgicmZBPwz_x185ROoAZf2w3tnX-Mp7lN3-STetw7n8BOjD-9-wU3CiBRSzNGmDDxdbmKITWxTg7CsvBwRWeY7mZXwAQoJz8pudD7gg4V3SgOfr6YNB9ab_wI0OI-NyV7ZQOmMPq-kTElY4XppYd1olP1mBAYd58muaVevCImA3BlK0A-PUsQdfm-KbbMm_/s3024/IMG_6409%20(1).jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="completed top of a kid quilt" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgicmZBPwz_x185ROoAZf2w3tnX-Mp7lN3-STetw7n8BOjD-9-wU3CiBRSzNGmDDxdbmKITWxTg7CsvBwRWeY7mZXwAQoJz8pudD7gg4V3SgOfr6YNB9ab_wI0OI-NyV7ZQOmMPq-kTElY4XppYd1olP1mBAYd58muaVevCImA3BlK0A-PUsQdfm-KbbMm_/w640-h640/IMG_6409%20(1).jpg" title="completed top of a kid quilt" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">It's big for a kid quilt, 60" by 67.5". I don't know if I will quilt it myself or not, but at least the top is done. I don't have a purpose for this quilt anymore. I like the other pattern I decided to use for the kits much better than this one for this panel. But it's not terrible! Surely someone will like it. I'll put it in my "to be quilted" pile for now.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I do have a few more of these panels and some of the coordinates too if you'd like some for yourself. <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/search?q=blk%2Fwht" target="_blank">Click here to view the panel and coordinating fabrics I still have</a>.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmqUpy2Zjca-zTzl-6pGnwRg7CoB2uvArg9MJ4On_cuVlYtZI-sJay7VlkreIoetTp60x_56FD3H1AaNCtG1h-tSnzQZlki0cEoAZfjPEk10aaIXUkSYJ5Eb8DvFzdB9pFLbYt9623ZVAkaPxYFB4cGmDb6NJTPrCkza8Cp6QQNIc-EPwzGcVLx5rCrsVk/s96/signature.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmqUpy2Zjca-zTzl-6pGnwRg7CoB2uvArg9MJ4On_cuVlYtZI-sJay7VlkreIoetTp60x_56FD3H1AaNCtG1h-tSnzQZlki0cEoAZfjPEk10aaIXUkSYJ5Eb8DvFzdB9pFLbYt9623ZVAkaPxYFB4cGmDb6NJTPrCkza8Cp6QQNIc-EPwzGcVLx5rCrsVk/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6494902717449857106.post-84593291492893112792023-09-06T06:30:00.018-06:002023-09-06T06:30:00.193-06:00Second Batik Rug Finished<p><span style="font-size: large;"> For this rug I used 9 yards of fabric. It finished at 26" by 36" but as expected the size shifted after washing and drying. It's now 24" by 37".</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFQ68IkQH8HNza7QWleOvAJwHlX__XbRO4J_n9iK18_AeaEzYylUl543lriGaAHfM2ircdkkzUGyV-w9CrzlHogIZBMz4z-W8MDyf8wilNkZdB5XzjH6fiIDNgYt4pJItiZeSoJ7P4I3kakDOvHZnbzYx3oIhSMzX5Nw5elc4cZbV-3p7cMnyzYJ-6Bs3y/s3024/IMG_6362.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="second batik rug finished" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFQ68IkQH8HNza7QWleOvAJwHlX__XbRO4J_n9iK18_AeaEzYylUl543lriGaAHfM2ircdkkzUGyV-w9CrzlHogIZBMz4z-W8MDyf8wilNkZdB5XzjH6fiIDNgYt4pJItiZeSoJ7P4I3kakDOvHZnbzYx3oIhSMzX5Nw5elc4cZbV-3p7cMnyzYJ-6Bs3y/w640-h640/IMG_6362.jpg" title="second batik rug finished" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">I have enough strips cut to make another rug using these exact same fabrics. For that one I can't decide how I want to order the six different fabrics. Should I use all of each fabric so the stripes are wider or should I pick a fabric order and use one strip of each so that the fabric changes every 6 inches or so? I'll think about it for a bit, then make a decision and get busy on the third one.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://alamosaquilter.blogspot.com/2023/08/another-batik-rug.html" target="_blank">You can read my previous post about the making of this rug by click here.</a></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">And all of the batik fabrics I have in stock in my shop are currently in my clearance section for $9 per yard. If you'd like to make a batik rug similar to mine you can pick up some gorgeous batik fabrics for a great price, while supplies last. You can make whatever you like with them though, not just a rug. <a href="https://alamosaquiltcompany.com/collections/clearance" target="_blank">Click here to go to the clearance section of my online shop</a>. And in case you are wondering, yes I will still be carrying batik fabrics in my shop but I'm going to start over with all new batiks once I've sold out of what I currently have.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5XeaMvKr_Mp5lKSd1teuJmXmVSH5_00qx2_HtkcjL0KUX6er8JOaGrwMe608U3WkKpnxzJmXp8lnHB7mQZby9fh5YlkuwreuOHfZqdFxDMSC5BnVqM5fJRte9oZoQsGB4VdrisTHMk2wRStsL8WJn4PXUMyCm0jnY9hj74nRCLejJtFLgQFAYXQZchv_o/s96/signature.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="86" data-original-width="96" height="86" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5XeaMvKr_Mp5lKSd1teuJmXmVSH5_00qx2_HtkcjL0KUX6er8JOaGrwMe608U3WkKpnxzJmXp8lnHB7mQZby9fh5YlkuwreuOHfZqdFxDMSC5BnVqM5fJRte9oZoQsGB4VdrisTHMk2wRStsL8WJn4PXUMyCm0jnY9hj74nRCLejJtFLgQFAYXQZchv_o/s1600/signature.png" width="96" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13665481715449959495noreply@blogger.com0
