I put my stars up on the design wall yesterday afternoon. At first I put them all up without giving any thought to which one went where, just so I could see the layout. Since then I have been moving them around until I'm happy.
This is how they look this morning. I'm also thinking about whether or not this needs a border. If so, what kind of border. I don't have enough of any single fabric left to do a border with just one fabric. I think I'll get the stars put together before making a final border decision.
For those of you in the U.S., Happy Memorial Day!

Beautiful! How about just a plain white border? It looks lovely as it is.
Lynn, it is so amazingly beautiful! Wow. I wish I had all those stars made up and ready to assemble. I absolutely love it!
That was idea, too! A small white border - and a scrappy binding of fabrics you used in the quilt. Lovely quilt by the way !!
I love your star quilt and the way you have placed the stars. I really don't think it needs a border. looks beautiful as is!
holy cowpies batman - that looks fantabulous!!!! It is going to be one amazing quilt when you are done. Is this one for you?
Your stars look amazing. I have tucked away the project in my mind and am very tempted to give it a go, when the winter nights draw closer and there is not so much to be done outside.
LOVED following your progress ... you have inspired me to make some of the blocks for a quilt I am working on.
Thanks
Nonnie
