My company (a.k.a. my parents) left yesterday. We had a great visit! My mom and I did a few sewing projects.
First we made these adorable and tiny owl pin cushions.
Mine is the pink/white one on the left. Mom's is the green/orange one on the right. We used this tutorial/pattern for them. They finish at about 3" tall and were fairly quick and easy to make. Both of us thought this was something we might make again. They would make great gifts.
Next we made Madame Bobbins.
We used this tutorial from the FabricWorm blog. Mom didn't finish hers. We had a hard time with this one. It was a bit fiddly, but mine turned out so cute.
Lastly, my mom brought me a gift from one of her friends from home.
I now have a pair of cactus pin cushions. See my other one by clicking here. Thank you so much Cindy! I love it!
I seem to have started a pin cushion collection without trying. I have a plan for this collection though. I'm not ready to share it with you yet, but when the time is right I will.

The owl pincushions are precious. And I LOVE the chicken. Will be good to see your mom again this month at guild.
Your pin cushions are adorable. How fortunate that you and your mom can sew together. You are making great memories.
