I finished up the charm pack charity quilt earlier this week. (Click on the images to see them larger.)
The backing doesn't really go with the front but it was in my stash.
I won the charm pack from Sandy over at Quilting for the Rest of Us and the rest of the fabric was all from stash. The quilt will go to charity but I'm not sure which one just yet.
On to the giveaway! Today I have for you a kit with pattern included. It is a very nice kit, just not my style.
I was going to take the kit apart and keep some of the fabric then give the rest away. However, I decided that the pattern was nice and the fabrics really needed to stay together as a kit for someone to make up the pattern. Just not me.
You'll probably need to click on the above image to be able to see the quilt on the label. The pattern included is to make this quilt. Of course, you are under no obligation to make the quilt. If you win this it is yours to do with as you please.
Edit: The pattern says that the finished quilt measures 36" by 47"
To enter you need to leave a comment. Any comment, but if you are struggling for something with some substance to say, please tell me how you would describe your quilting style. For me, I'd say my style is eclectic. I like traditional quilts, modern quilts, and art quilts and I enjoy making them all. I love to look at applique but I don't really enjoy doing applique.
If you'd like to blog about this giveaway, feel free. You can have a second entry if you do so, just leave a separate comment telling me you blogged it. And while we are at it, if you want a third entry become a follower or tell me that you already are in another comment.
I will draw a winner on Monday morning (Sept. 12th). I will notify the winner by email and post the winner on the blog on Monday. Be sure that I have a way to contact you if you win. If you are a "no-reply" commenter and do not leave your email address in the comment then I will just draw another name. International commenters are welcome too.
There is still time to enter my first giveaway for the pin cushion/thread catcher.
Go here to do that. The third and final giveaway for this week is coming up on Friday. It's a really good one so be sure to stop back by.

Great finish and someone will be very happy to receive that quilt! My quilting style? Hmmm... I believe it was the great Bruce Lee who said, "No style is style". LOL! I guess I go whatever way the wind blows! Thanks for the chance at the cut kit! And congrats on 500!
Sign me up. I could make it and send it to Afghanistan. Assuming it's blanket size. Not appropriate for the locals or non-US NATO, due to its patriotic feel, but I could certainly find a deployed American for it (I can come up with about twenty of them off the top of my head). Winter's cold there. Otherwise, if it's smaller, I know of a mil mom who would enjoy it.
How big is it?
I enjoy all quilting styles (especially other people's work). I love applique but my bad eyesight is making it look pretty awful. lol My piecing is still okay.
Cool giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity.
That was smart to use your stash for the backing, it looks really nice.
My style? Applique? Maybe the same as you....
Nice fabrics! I like them a lot. My style is pretty eclectic, too. I like traditional and art quilts. I like brights and dark and dirties. I think I'm just indecisive!!! But it keeps me interested, so that's fun!
You know I'm a follower!
blogged it.
And I like your charm quilt a lot. Nicely done. Again, you totally amaze me with what you get done!
I don't think I've been quilting long enough to have a style. I know I'm not a big fan of following patterns to a 'T'...I like to go off-roading, if you will. I'm a sucker for patriotic quilts!
I'm now a follower!
My quilt style is definately spur of the moment. no patterns or much forethought!
I'm a new follower!
my quilt style can be best described as traditional and scrappy! Thank you for the chance to win your giveaway!
LOVE YOUR IDEAS!
MY STYLE IS PATCHWORK-LOVE THE PLANNING + PIECING!
THANKS FOR A NEAT GIVEAWAY!

Hello Lynn!
As a new person who enjoys crafting, I'm not sure if I have a set style yet.
I am definitely not a designer of quilts. I use most patterns and tutorials to increase my confidence and sewing skill. Thanks for asking. AND, Thank you for the cute giveaway!
Great giveaway! I love all styles of quilting - and bag making!
I'm a new follower!
Quilting style: patchwork pieced eclectic who wants to learn to applique. Thanks for the sweet giveaway.
What a great giveaway. Thanks for the chance. The quilt would look great in my Americana family room.
Oh, and I'm a new follower to your blog. My quilting style changes with my mood. Right now I'm into hexagons done with 30s prints for a grandmother's garden quilt. So, I guess my style is traditional (this week!)
I'm posting a comment but please do not enter me in the giveaway; it's a very nice one--I've just already got way too many projects going on! I just wanted to say that I absolutely love seeing how my give-aways end up being used--very, very pretty. And the back is just another front--fun! Glad you had fun with them!
I am more of a traditional quilter, I guess. I'm always trying new things but love patchwork the best. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
Love those fabrics, especially the first picture! I love brights and wonky!
95% of what I do is charity/donation quilting. The group I quilt for, From Our Heart, donates to family support groups at Joint Base Lewis McChord near Tacoma, WA. Some of the quilts go to the children of deployed soldiers who don't make it home from war.

I am a beginning quilter and just starting a collection of fabrics. I tend to go for old fashioned prints and bright colors. I also like patriotic prints. The giveaway is perfect for me.
Good finish! it will really be cherished by the recipient I am sure! thanks for the lovely giveaway. I am mostly a traditional quilter. thanks!
I am a new follower too!
Great quilt kit giveaway. I think I would donate it to the Quilts of Valor group.
Thx
I am a new follower of yours.
Thx
What a fun little quilt! I'd love to put it together for a baby quilt. My current passion is making and donating baby quilts to a local maternity home. It's slow going, but a lot of fun. As to my quilting style, I'd say it runs across the spectrum. I'm more of an improvisational quilter, but I do love some more traditional patterns - especially if they have a modern twist. :)
thanks for the giveaway! i would say i am a modern quilt with heavy neutrals influence at the moment!
I'm a fairly new quilter, so I'm still learning what I like. And as I'm learning, I'm making charity quilts, so if this isn't "my style", I can always donate it to a charity.

I'm more of a traditional quilter. Thanks for the giveaway!

I blogged about your giveaway at http://salliessampler.blogspot.com/2011/09/fabulous-friday.html.
I don't know that I have a style I guess I lean toward the traditional but my kids try to redirect me toward the modern. I really love it all. Thanks
I like a little bit of everything. Mostly I make traditional blocks but am enamored of art quilts, esp McKenna Ryan. Would love to do more applique.

I love this giveaway! I do not usually do patriotic quilts, and as Sept. 11th approaches I have decided to make one that I can hang in rembrance every year at this time. This could be it!
I am a new follower. My style is pretty traditional, with occasional bursts of poke your eyes out bright colors. No applique or hand-piecing, I like to go zoomy fast.
This looks like a great quilt. I'd love to have it! Thanks for sharing with us!
I think I'm like you...eclectic...because I like most all kinds of quilts, too...but mostly modern.
I'm a follower of your blog.

I'm a follower of your blog!
OK! The giveaway fabrics ARE my style, so please pick me! Thanks for the giveaway!
Love the backing made from your stash- it's kinda like having a reversible quilt! My style? I love traditional, and applique...art quilts are kinda lost on me! Thanks for the chance to win!
Yay!! I'm your 80th follower! I popped over from Julie's place at the Intrepid Thread! I'm glad I found your blog...and thank you for the chance to win!
I like to experiment with different styles of quilts. Do plenty of traditional but am branching out. Next up is to try a landscape quilt

Your charity quilt looks great and I like both sides. :)
God bless and keep you,
Sonia
I think I am still finding my style. I love to make modern quilts. I LOVE improv piecing, which scares some people, but it is my favorite and how I first got into quilting.
On the other hand, I love to buy antique quilts. There is so much history in a traditional quilt like that. I have 2 unfinished tops to work on. One from my grandma and one from my great-great aunt. It is just hard fomr me to work on them. Brings me to tears sometimes!
That is a lovely quilt, the back is wonderful.
My quilting style is about to broaden out (I hope), I want to step out of the box. Not sure where this will take me but I look forward to the results! ;)
Thank you for the chance .
