One of our guild members lost her granddaughter in Iraq last year. Being quilters, we made her a quilt in honor of her granddaughter, Faith. It was presented at our meeting on Saturday.
We were told to make a 9" finished block. Anything we wanted. I made a heart. Fifth row down from the top, second block from the left.

What a beautiful testiment to the greatest sacrifice that can be made. My deepest condolences to your friend.
How touching that is. I'm so sorry for her loss--but glad she's wrapped in friendship by quilters!
What a nice gesture. I am so sorry for your guild member's loss.
