At my last guild meeting one of our members taught some of us how she uses watercolors on fabric. We each made a watercolor bird.
My background bled a little into the bird but I learned a lot. She had lots of samples for us to look at to get ideas for various ways to quilt our birds. Mine won't get quilted until after I get all of my gifts made.
The teacher provided everyone with a pattern as part of our class fee. The bird is traced onto the fabric before painting. So no drawing skills were required for this project! It was a fun class.

Now that is my kind of water coloring, you did a wonderful job!
Wow! It really turned out great! Even though no drawing was required, it's still hard to get good color and effects with watercolor. It's so unpredictable. Yours turned out super! Can't wait to see what you do with it. And if you hadn't said the background bled, I wouldn't have known it!
Your bird is so cute. I love the looks of water color and never thought about doing it on fabric. Did you have to use a medium on the fabric? You did a great job!
Watercolor on fabric? NEVER thought about that, but your cute birdie is pretty tempting - will be fun to see it quilted!
WOW! That's beautiful.
