Back in the Sewing Chair

Yesterday I finally got myself caught up with all the work that has been keeping me from sewing. Yay! I put in some really long days over the last couple of weeks so I am not working today - I'm sewing.

Here's what I made this morning.

I used this tutorial which I found through The Fabric Shopper blog. It turned out so cute and was pretty easy even with this being the first cathedral window I've made. It finishes at about 4" square. My winter guild retreat is coming up at the end of February. We are doing another pin cushion exchange and this is what I am putting in.

Last weekend I finished up my fourth Swoon block. Here they are.

This afternoon I hope to get these together with sashing and some kind of border.

That pincushion is gorgeous! So funny, I bought a Cathedral Window book because I want to sew them. I am doing some Secret Garden blocks now (a version of Cathedral Windows). We do think alike!!!

Pincushion is darling! LOVE the Swoon blocks!!! I just custom quilted a mini Swoon quilt. 4 16" blocks. Took me forever but it's gorgeous. My friend is making the reg Swoon quilt. I'll be doing an allover on that one! Lol!
