I put on my Harry Potter music this morning and got the embroidery part traced.
I was surprised that it only took about 30 minutes to get this all traced! I really don't like the tracing part of embroidery or applique and I'm not sure why. Tracing this out was really not that bad!
The next step is to color in some of the designs using crayons. I probably won't get to that today, but it feels good to get started on this project.
For your information, the pattern is called Which Witch's Boot by Crabapple Hill Studio. My friend Stephanie has already finished hers. You can see hers by clicking this link. I am using the same fabrics Stephanie used, although maybe not in the same places. I haven't gotten that far yet!

I'm currently listening to the Harry Potter audio books on my commute...how Halloweenie of us! I love this project. Stephanie did a great job; can't wait to see how yours turns out!

I love Crapapple Hill Designs. I have on of their Halloween designs that I haven't even started. It's in my "someday" stack. Can't wait to see your boot finished.
