Eleven Eleven Giveaway

This is my 1111th post! And since January is also my birthday month, I'm celebrating with a little giveaway.

When I came home with the wool last month, I also picked out this fabric kit with pattern thinking that it would make a nice giveaway.

There is a tag that says the fabric kit includes fabric for the front, binding and backing for the wall hanging (the dancing snowman on the bottom right of the pattern). The pattern says the finished size of the wall quilt is 24.5" by 32.5". The pattern includes the full directions and full size applique pattern pieces for tracing to make the wall quilt as well as the table runner and the three tea towels, even though the fabric kit is only for the wall quilt.

The fabric kit looks complete to me, but I can't guarantee that the original owner of the kit didn't pull out a piece for something else at some point.

How to enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post. You can tell me something about yourself, such as how long you have been quilting, or who taught you how to quilt, or anything else you care to divulge in a comment.
2. If you are a follower, old or new, leave a comment telling me how you follow my blog (through a reader, or email, or Blogger, or some other way) because I'm curious to know how other people follow blogs as I have only used Blogger.

Please be sure that I have a way to contact you if you are the winner! If you are a "no-reply" blogger then please include a way for me to contact you in your comment.

That's it! I will let Mr. Random Number Generator choose a winner on Monday Jan 12th and will edit this post once the winner is drawn letting everyone know that the giveaway is closed. I'll contact the winner on Monday and announce the winner in my Tuesday blog post.

Edited to add: the giveaway is now closed. The winner has been notified via email.

Thank you for following along with my quilting adventures!

P.S. If you don't know whether you are a "no-reply" blogger or not, google "no reply blogger." Or simply click the link in the previous sentence to view the various hits that came up when I googled it. I know that blogger does not play nice with with every type of blog account so this can't be fixed for everyone, but usually those folks already know that blogger lists them as "no reply". If you don't know what a "no reply blogger" is or don't know if you are or not, I suggest you do some research about it.

Congratulations on your 1111th post. What a nice give away. Don't include me in the give away. I just wanted to congratulate you and say what a nice thing to do. Looks like someone is going to have fun.

Wow! 1111! That's a lot! Thanks for sharing with us all that time.
I've been quilting around 30 years and sewing much longer than that. Yikes! That makes me sound old. I'm enjoying getting my two granddaughters interested in fabric and sewing. They are only 2 and 4, but they beg to sew every time they come over.

Hi, I follow your blog through blogger. I have been quilting for about six years now, but am a long time sewer, since I was 9 years old. I put off learning how to quilt until my family were gone and I had retired from work as I knew I would be hooked!
I dont expect to be in the draw as I am in New Zealand, and postage is prohibitive!

I have been sewing all of my life (can't remember ever NOT knowing how to sew; I used to sit on my mother's lap as a toddler and "help" -- my mother must have had the patience of a saint!), but I've only been quilting for the past 2 years. I love it! sarah@forrussia.org

Wow, the 1111th post so amazing, I taught myself how to sew and quilting is on my to work on list, it is going slowly, but I have been only at the sewing machine for a little over 2 years. I am going to learn some applique techniques in February.

I've been doing some kind of stitching since I was a child and my grandmother taught me to embroider. I taught myself counted cross stitch in my early 20's and now I'm learning to quilt. I love the look of wool applique and have a few pieces so far. Thanks for the chance!

I started quilt 1 1/2 years ago. I am a 38 year old recently permanently disabled mother, wife, and nurse. My arthritis only allows me to quilt in short intervals and now financially we are really struggling so I am trying to win fabric because I can't afford to purchase any at this time:-(. Quilting has truly saved my life!!!!! sonjasmith76@yahoo.com

I love that you want to share something with your readers on your eleven-eleven celebration! I've been sewing since junior high, but most recently got back into it after quitting my highly-stressful teaching job. Sewing saved my sanity at that point and now I'm hooked for the rest of my years!

I've been quilting for over 30 years and I still get together every second Thursday to quilt with my friend, Fran, who took the first quilting class with me.

1111 - what a nice number - Congratulations! I learned hand piecing/quilting approx.20 yrs ago, put it away for several years and then picked it up again. I really began machine piecing/quilting 7 years ago after a serious illness. It is now my passion.

I follow you because I put you on my favourite list in my blog. I am NOT as prolific as you are. I realy quilt since 1994. Years before that time I did the sloooow way of putting cloth around a hexy and sew them together. That snail way was not my cup of tea. My blog is huisvlijtigliesje.blogspot.com but I am afraid The Netherlands is too far away to send something...if I should win...
I enjoy your blog, though I am not the intense-machine-quilted-lover. I do like the modern blocks, especially when they are a bit unruly.

Congratulations on your milestone! My mother taught me to sew when i was small. Shie understood that i needed to keep my hands busy. We started with embroidery and moved to quilting when i found the preprinted cross stitch quilt tops.

i've always loved quilts, and just started quilting last january with an english paper pieced quilt (I'm about halfway done now), i did a hand painted and stitched a whole cloth quilt for my boyfriend, then started making machine pieced quilts when he gave me a sewing machine for my birthday in the fall! and since then I've finished four quilts and have started a fifth. I like quilts because so much work and love goes into them and theye beautiful and so so cozy.
