BERNINA 930

I made an unexpected purchase on Wednesday. I went to teach at Kathy's Fabric Trunk as usual and came home with a new-to-me sewing machine.

She came with a case, a knee lift, a tray table, a book, and the accessory box.

She sews beautifully! There is a sticker on the outside of the case from the original shop where this machine was purchased. In the corner of the sticker is written "3/86". I am guessing that this is when the original owner purchased her. I called a friend and former BERNINA dealer before buying this to ask her about it. I read off the serial number to her and she guessed that it was from the mid-80's based on the serial number. Looks like she was right on.

I have a plan for this machine too so she won't be just sitting in a closet.

What a find! I have my grandma's Bernina 830 she bought in June of 1972--the same month I was born. It is an amazing machine.

Berninas go forever!! My daughter who lives in Bahrain, bought one recently. The Bernina supplier is in Saudi Arabia and comes over the border to service the machine. They are truly worldwide!
