I'll Just Quilt This Up Quick - LOL!

I am trying to finish up some of the myriad tops I have. I decided to pull out my Mama Said Sew Corn Rows Quilt thinking to myself "I can quilt this up simply and quick." Famous last words!

Here is what the top looks like. I originally posted this photo on November 30, 2012.

I did some simple ditch stitching to hold things together then pulled out my copy of Quilting Wide Open Spaces by Judi Madsen to get some ideas for how to quilt the triangles. This is where my original "keep it simple and quick" plan went out the window.

So this will be another multiple day project. It isn't taking as long as I expected, but it will take longer than I planned. Good thing I am enjoying the process!

I love this quilt and love how you are quilting it. Wish I were brave enough to do something like that. Great job.

I think creative trumps quick almost every time. I love what you are doing with it.

I like the quilting designs you've chosen. They look good on your quilt. Good choice.

What a fun quilt.....it may have taken a while to get it done but well worth it.

The only way I can quilt a project simply and quickly is when I do giant meandering all over it. And I can't do that all the time.
This is a simple but striking quilt top you're working on. It's very appealing, and I had to study it for a while, to see how the blocks are constructed. I'm sure you'll be happy with your final results. Looking good so far !!
