Sweet Divinity Disappearing Four Patch

Work and school both started this week. It has been a bit crazy at times around here. I hope things will settle down into a routine soon so I can get back to more regular sewing and posting.

I was able to finish quilting my disappearing four patch and finished the binding last night.

I've very please with how it turned out even though I think I should have quilted the border more heavily (or the blocks less heavily). Click on the images to see them larger.

Here is a close-up so that maybe you can see the quilting better.

I used Aurifil thread, 50 wt., in white for the quilting so it is hard to see the quilting from the front in a photograph. The above photo is of the back which is also pretty cute if I do say so myself. (And I do!)

I'm still playing around with photo staging. I've also noticed the days getting shorter. I need to get out to take pictures earlier if I do it in the evening and later if I do it in the morning.

First day of 4th grade today. I almost forgot to take a picture!

It sure is a sweet quilt and of course I love your quilting! Wow, fourth grade - it was so long a go that I saw mine off on that day, yet it seems like yesterday.

Your quilt is beautiful, both in the piecing and the quilting. I love the colors and how you pieced the back.
Seeing my children off to 4th grade was a while ago for me, too. My, how time flies.

That is lovely! Not just the wonderful quilting, but the excellent choice of pattern and fabrics.

What do you do your quilting with? Your sewing machine or a long arm?

Either way, fab job!
